Arthritis Pain

The condition of arthritis can bring extreme pain to millions of sufferers as the condition worsens.  How do you cope with arthritis pain, and what can be done to prevent further pain?  Currently, modern medicine offers few alternatives.  Homeopathic solutions, however do offer more options, and greater permanent relief.

Arthritis comes in several forms, with differing causes, and results that include inflammation of the joint, infection of the joint, or degeneration of the joint.  The arthritis pain that accompanies the condition however, doesn’t vary, and doesn’t spare the person who has it.

The degenerative effects of arthritis pain are sometimes as harmful to the sufferer as the arthritis condition itself.  The pain of the disease can be as debilitating to the mind, as the disease is to the body.  So what alternatives to arthritis pain exist, prescription or natural?

The prescription medicines that can be taken have a history of damaging the liver and other internal organs, with prolonged use.  NSAIDs (Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) found in aspirin do help with inflammation; however they too, with prolonged use will damage internal body organs.  The homeopathic options that are available, are all natural products found in your local health store, the grocery store, and in some instances your backyard.

So why don’t we hear more about these all natural options for arthritis pain?  This is a very complex question and there are millions of dollars spent to do research and development by the medical environment on synthetic drugs, but it doesn’t cost millions to buy ginger, turmeric, or valerian.  The amazing anti-inflammatory properties of these naturally occurring plants are amazing, yet we have very little information published by the American Medical Association.

Arthritis pain continues to be a growing problem, especially as the population of the baby boomers reaches retirement age, and arthritis is primarily an age-related disease.  Hopefully, with larger segments of society reaching the age of onset, more will be done to evaluate arthritis pain, the symptoms and the cures.
